Information you share

We receive the details you submit, including your band name, hometown, booking and contact email addresses, band and member bios, show details, links, preferred domain, design choices, and custom requests. If you include images, we receive the original files and their filenames. Original images may contain metadata such as the location where a photo was taken; remove any information you don’t want to share before sending.

Only submit information and images you have permission to use. Please don’t include passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive information in your draft or uploaded files.

Drafts saved on your device

The builder stores unfinished drafts and selected images in your browser so you can return to them. This storage is separate from sending a draft. Use “Start over” or clear this site’s browser data to remove the saved copy on your device. Doing so does not delete a draft you have already sent to us.

Your draft is not published as a public website when you use the preview or send it. If you check a domain, that domain name is sent to our server and the relevant domain registry’s lookup service to check its registration status.

How we use your information

We use your information to review and respond to your request, build and support your website, arrange your domain and hosting, keep business records, and troubleshoot or prevent misuse. Sending a draft allows us to reply about that request; it does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

When you approve a website for launch, the content selected for that website—including its booking email, member details, and images—becomes publicly accessible and may be indexed by search engines.

Providers and sharing

Vercel hosts SetLink and stores submitted images in private Vercel Blob storage. Resend delivers draft details and image attachments to SetLink by email. Our email service stores those messages so we can respond and work on your website. An upload may remain in storage even if the final email submission fails.

For a paid website, we share the details needed to provide hosting, domain registration, and payment services with the providers used for your project. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect against fraud or abuse. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Their policies also describe their handling of data: Vercel Privacy Policy and Resend Privacy Policy.

Browser storage, cookies, and technical data

SetLink uses browser storage to save your draft. We do not add advertising trackers to the builder. Hosting and security providers may use essential cookies or similar technologies and process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser details, and errors. Our server also uses IP addresses to limit repeated submissions and uploads.

Links to music, social media, and other websites open services with their own privacy practices. This policy does not cover what those services collect after you visit them.

Retention and your choices

Browser drafts remain until you clear them or your browser removes them. Submitted drafts, uploaded images, and email correspondence do not currently have an automatic deletion date. We retain them to handle requests, provide the service, and maintain necessary business records.

Email jb@setlinksites.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information you’ve sent. We may ask you to verify your connection to the band before acting. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, payment disputes, or ongoing service; backups and provider logs may remain until their normal deletion cycles. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights.

Security and children

We use encrypted connections and private storage for draft uploads. No online service can guarantee complete security. The service is intended for people arranging a band website and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent personal information, contact us so we can address it.

Policy changes

We’ll update this page and its effective date when our practices change. If a change materially affects existing customers, we’ll provide notice using the contact information available to us.
